Jill Robin L points for Fantasy

Jill Robin L, upset winner of the Grade 2 Bonnie Miss Stakes at Gulfstream earlier this month, was shipped Thursday to Oaklawn Park, where she will make her next start in the Grade 2, $250,000 Fantasy Stakes on April 15.

Bob Holthus will train Jill Robin L for the Fantasy, according to part-owner Robert Braunsdorf. It is then expected that Jill Robin L will ship to New York and be trained by Bruce Levine. Levine's father, Robert, was the previous trainer and part-owner of Jill Robin L before his death March 17.

"Bruce Levine is now my partner," Braunsdorf said. "Long-range, he'll be her trainer."

Braunsdorf said he chose the Fantasy because of the timing and the fact that his filly was not nominated to the Grade 1 Ashland at Keeneland a week earlier. The Fantasy is run at 1 1/16 miles.

"We've been scrambling a bit since Bob died," Braunsdorf said. "We're going after this Fantasy up there. There are not too many races at the distance for us. She's quite ready for a race."

Jill Robin L, named for Robert Levine's daughters Jill and Robin, finished third in the Davona Dale behind Sis City and In the Gold before nosing out In the Gold in the Bonnie Miss.
