Jersey horsemen get board spots

Email

Representatives of Thoroughbred and Standardbred horsemen will be guaranteed four spots on the New Jersey racing commission under a law signed last week by Gov. James McGreevey. The representatives will be prohibited from owning, racing, or breeding any horses in New Jersey, following similar restrictions in other states that allow horsemen to serve on the board, including Delaware and Pennsylvania.
