Jealous Again sold to Sheikh Mohammed

Jealous Again, the 2-year-old filly who captured the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot for trainer Wesley Ward, was sold this week to the Darley Stable of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Ward said Wednesday.

Jealous Again, stabled at Monmouth Park, was transferred on Tuesday from Ward's barn to the Monmouth string of trainer Tom Albertrani. Albertrani said he had not been informed of plans for Jealous Again.

"I don't have any idea about that at the moment," said Albertrani.

Jealous Again was previously owned by a partnership that included Ward. A daughter of Trippi, she was purchased for $30,000 as a yearling, and won her career debut this past April at Keeneland by almost 12 lengths. She finished second on dirt in the Kentucky Juvenile at Churchill before joining a group of Ward-trained horses that shipped to England in June. Leading all the way under John Velazquez, Jealous Again captured the Queen Mary by five lengths on June 17 in her final start for Ward.
