Belmont Stakes winner Jazil has been sent to the farm with bruising of the cannon bone in his right hind leg and will be out of training for a month, trainer Kiaran McLaughlin said Tuesday. The injury means that Jazil will miss the $1 million Travers Stakes on Aug. 26 at Saratoga Race Course. McLaughlin said Jazil arrived at owner Sheikh Hamdan's Shadwell Farm in Kentucky on Monday morning. A decision on whether the colt can return to McLaughlin's barn will likely be made in three weeks, when X-rays will be taken. McLaughlin said he was hopeful of getting the horse back by mid-August and being able to train him up to the Jockey Club Gold Cup on Oct. 7 at Belmont Park.
