Isadella narrowly scores in Bobbie Bricker Memorial

Isadella (3), with Megan Fadlovich aboard, gets up by a nose in a three-way photo for first in the Bobbie Bricker Memorial.

The 5-year-old mare Isadella, winless on the main track since July 2013, prevailed over Startin Something and Circle Can Run in a three-horse photo Saturday to win the $50,000 Bobbie Bricker Memorial Handicap for Ohio-accredited fillies and mares at Mahoning Valley Racecourse.

Ridden by Megan Fadlovich for trainer Ivan Vazquez, Isadella ($10.60) rallied in midstretch to get up by a nose over Startin Something. Circle Can Run, the pacesetter and 2-5 favorite in a field of five, was another neck back in third.

Isadella, whose only previous win this season came on turf at Mountaineer, completed 1 1/16 miles on a fast track in 1:52.06. Her only other stakes victory came on turf in 2012 at River Downs. She was second, 2 1/2 lengths behind Circle Can Run, when they met in last month’s Ohio Debutante at ThistleDown.
