Invaders vs. Available Credit in Hyland

Los Alamitos' newcomers Get Solid and Tiny Chris La Jolla challenge local stalwart Available Credit in the Grade 3, $37,800 Pat Hyland Handicap over 870 yards at Los Alamitos on Friday night.

These three veteran geldings know how to compete, combining for 14 wins and five seconds in their last combined 20 starts.

Get Solid has six wins and two seconds in his last eight starts, including a win in the Governor's Cup Handicap at Sam Houston Race Park on Aug. 30, his most recent start.

Tiny Chris La Jolla, winner of three straight races, returns to action after a win in the Oklahoma Distance Challenge on Aug. 10 at Remington Park.

Available Credit has five wins and three seconds in his last nine starts. His latest two races were second-place finishes behind Harbor Beach in the California Distance Championship and the Bull Rastus Handicap. Harbor Beach is undefeated at 870 yards at Los Alamitos.

On Saturday night, Royaltime Classic, a close second behind the undefeated champion AB What a Runner in the Grade 1 Mildred Vessels Handicap, looks for her first Los Alamitos stakes win in the Grade 2, $50,000 Las Damas Handicap for distaffers.

Royaltime Classic, trained by John Bassett, made her Los Alamitos debut in the Mildred Vessels on Sept. 13 and finished just a nose behind 2002 All American Futurity winner AB What a Runner.

This year, Royaltime Classic has five wins from nine starts, including the Ford New Mexico Challenge and the Top Deck Handicap.
