Indy Derby's top trio outside

The top three choices for Saturday's Grade 3, $400,000-added Indiana Derby at Hoosier Park drew the outside posts in a field of 11.

Grand Hombre, purchased by Darley off his strong five-length win in the Pennsylvania Derby, was installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite and drew post 11. Undefeated in four career starts, Grand Hombre will have Edgar Prado in the saddle.

Wando, the Canadian Triple Crown winner, was made the second choice at 5-2 and drew post 9 with Patrick Husbands to ride. Wando won five straight races this summer but had his run come to an end when he ran fourth against older horses in the Atto Mile. Wando was scheduled to arrive in Indiana on Thursday morning.

Wiggins, third choice on the morning line at 5-1, drew post 10 with Eddie Razo scheduled to ride. An Illinois-bred, Wiggins has won three straight and comes off his first appearance outside of Illinois, a 2 1/2-length win in the Prairie Meadows Derby.
