Indian Evening to California’s Victory Rose thoroughbreds

Email

Indian Evening, a Grade 2-placed stakes winner, will begin his stallion career in 2014 at Ellen Jackson’s Victory Rose Thoroughbreds in Vacaville, Calif., standing for an advertised fee of $3,000.

The 4-year-old son of Indian Charlie won two of three starts during his racing career, including a victory in the Swynford Stakes at Woodbine. His lone defeat came in a third-place effort in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special Stakes.

Bred in Kentucky by Summer Wind Farm, Indian Evening was campaigned during his racing career by Vinery Stables, who purchased him for $110,000 at the 2010 Keeneland September yearling sale. He was trained by Josie Carroll.

Indian Evening is the first foal out of the winning Unbridled’s Song mare Unenchantedevening, who is a half-sister to 1997 Horse of the Year Favorite Trick. She is the dam of one winner from two foals to race.

PLEASE do not breed to this stallion, he obviously has soundness problems, only started 3 times, all at age 2, yet doesn't go to stud until he's 5, which tells me they tried/wanted to bring him back to the track, but he wasn't sound enough; he is out of an Unbridled's Song mare, please do not continue the unsoundness so prevalent from that stallion
