Indian Blessing going to Zensational


LEXINGTON, Ky. - The two-time champion Indian Blessing will be bred to multiple Grade 1 winner Zensational, her owners, Hal and Patti Earnhardt, announced on Friday.

Trainer Bob Baffert said just before the Nov. 6-7 Breeders' Cup that Indian Blessing had been retired.

Zensational will stand his first year at stud in 2010 at Hill 'n' Dale Farm, where Indian Blessing also will be boarded. Indian Blessing was foaled and raised at the Lexington, Ky., nursery and stallion station. Zensational, by Unbridled's Song, will have a $25,000 fee in 2010.

Indian Blessing finished in the top two in 15 or her 16 starts and earned more than $2.9 million. She won the Eclipse Award as champion 2-year-old filly in 2007 and as champion female sprinter in 2008.

Indian Blessing is by Indian Charlie and out of the Flying Chevron mare Shameful, a Grade 3-placed stakes winner.
