I'm All Yours nabs West Point

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Jerry Bailey continued his dominance of Saratoga's stakes program on Friday by guiding 3-2 favorite I'm All Yours to a last-to-first victory in Friday's $86,800 West Point Handicap over a yielding Mellon turf course.

Last until the quarter pole, I'm All Yours was swung seven wide turning for home by Bailey and rallied stoutly to get past Reluctant Groom in the final strides to win by three-quarters of a length. Reluctant Groom held second, a neck in front of longshot Brave One.

It was Bailey's ninth stakes win of the meet. He won 10 a year ago, which is believed to be a Saratoga record.

"He wasn't handling the soft turf on the first turn all that well," said Bailey, who has a meet-leading 32 victories. "We were pretty far back and I didn't see any openings. I had to wait as long as possible to move with him, or else we would have been running over other horses. Once we were wide and clear, he certainly had a big kick."

It was the fifth in six turf starts for I'm All Yours, a 4-year-old gelded son of Belong to Me owned by Anstu Stables. It was the third winner of the day for trainer Todd Pletcher, the fifth of the week and eighth for the meet.

I'm All Yours covered the 1 1/8 miles in 1:49.11 and returned $5.10 to win.
