OPELOUSAS, La. - Ide Like a Double ($7.60) unleashed a powerful run through the stretch Saturday night under regular rider Kerwin Clark to capture the featured $50,000 Oak Hall Stakes. State Power rallied in the drive to finish second, followed by Brooks 'n Down and Ide Ball.

"Usually I try to place him in the clear but tonight I was down inside entering the far turn," said Clark following the race. "I clucked to him when I saw some daylight and he immediately responded, almost pulling me out of the saddle. At that point I thought they're in trouble now. I angled him out turning for home and he just blew them away. He's a fun horse to ride."

The winner is trained by Bryon Gilbert and covered the seven furlongs in 1:22.62 over a track labeled wet-fast. He was 5 1/4 lengths the best while winning for the seventh time in 18 starts. The 4-year-old Ide colt has banked over $392,000 for his owners, Valene Farms.
