Ide back with six at Texas sale


There are 355 horses cataloged to the Fasig-Tipton Texas sale of 2-year-olds in training, which will be held at Lone Star Park near Dallas on April 3. The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Central. The under-tack show is scheduled for April 1.

Last year, a Louisiana-bred daughter of Ide named Tensas Yucatan topped the sale at $270,000. This year, Ide has six offspring in the sale. Other stallions represented in the catalog include Afternoon Deelites, Aptitude, Doneraile Court, El Corredor, Elusive Quality, More than Ready, Mutakddim, Officer, Outofthebox, Skip Away, Tiznow, Unbridled Time, Valid Expectations and Volponi.

Last year, 193 horses were sold at the sale for an average of $23,192.

Consigners participating this year in the sale include Asmussen Horse Center, Benchmark Training Center, Robert Brewer, Elysian Bloodstock, Mike Neatherlin, River Oaks Farm, Safari Bloodstock, and John Tally.
