How to bet Monmouth Park's Pick 4 - Sunday, July 29, 2012

Here's my race-by-race rundown of Sunday's pick four at Monmouth Park on July 29, 2012. I'm building my wager with TicketMaker, found exclusively on DRF.com.

Race 10 (The Taylor Made Matchmaker)

SILVER SCREAMER (#8) has won 4 of her last 5, the lone loss to today’s foe LAUGHING (#6), and that came after over 4 months off. She looked super winning the Eatontown and figures tough again. LAUGHING beat the top pick at PIM in the spring so you know she’s got the oomph. DEALBATA (#4) made a super first impression at BEL June 16, winning her U.S. debut. That marked her 3rd straight win. UNBRIDLED HUMOR (#2) has been knocking on the door and it may be her turn.

Race 11 (The Molly Pitcher)

DERWIN’S STAR (#2) has come into her own with 2 huge victories in her last 3 starts. Those came sprinting but there’s no reason she’s routed well before. AFLEETING LADY (#1) ran into monster Royal Delta last time and faces no one like that here. She looks on top of her game. R GYPSY GOLD (#6) appears on the upswing and has always shown much promise. BRUSHED BY A STAR (#8) has won 2 straight and may have turned the corner.

Race 12 (The Oceanport)

GET SERIOUS (#1) appears to hold all the aces. He thinks he owns this place and his tactical speed should get him a great trip yet again. He won this last year. QUEEN’SPLATEKITTEN (#5) wasn’t far behind ‘SERIOUS when 3rd in the G3 Red Bank and could pick up the pieces should that guy falter.

Race 13 (The Haskell Invitational)

GEMOLOGIST’s (#4) Ky. Derby was a disaster (16th) as he got hurt. He’s had time to regroup, has worked splendidly and his pre-Derby activity was smashing. PAYNTER (#3) was a superb 2nd in the G1 Belmont, validating his quality. DULLAHAN (#2) is winless on dirt but his 3rd in the Ky. Derby shows he can handle it. NONIOS (#1) may be the spoiler coming off some strong West Coast form.
