LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Apprentice rider John McKee guided 33-1 shot There Runs Hattie to a come-from-behind victory in the Tuesday feature at Churchill Downs, continuing a string of high-priced horses who won over a rain-soaked track.

McKee was able to get late-running There Runs Hattie up by a neck over Savorthetime in the eighth-race feature, a $44,600 allowance sprint for fillies and mares. McKee has eight wins through eight programs at the fall meet, trailing only perennial leading rider Pat Day (12).

There Runs Hattie, a 3-year-old who had finished a distant third at Mountaineer Park in her most recent start, returned $69.20 to win. She is trained by Kevin Zeis.

Also Tuesday, trainer Paul McGee sent out two pricey winners, Golden Louisia ($61.20) in the fifth and Fighting Skinny ($18.20) in the ninth, to take the lead atop the trainer standings. McGee has five wins at the meet.

Ontrack attendance was a mere 2,998, which one Churchill official said might be the lowest in modern track history. The crowd was limited not only by daylong rain, but also because by Election Day, when it is illegal to serve liquor before 6 p.m.
