SMOKIN RACER doesn't offer much stamina, but she turns back in distance with good early speed in her arsenal. The half-sister to stakes-winner Broomesse (41-8-13-6, $396,434) has never been this cheap, and should be set for her best as she makes the important third start of the form cycle She set a pressured pace last time out at Belmont, and should be prominent once again when the field turns for home.
PRECISION FOOTWORK is another with decent early foot, and she was in chase mode from the start from a tough outside post last time out. Her Beyers are slowly creeping upward, and she put up some decent numbers earlier in the year at Aqueduct. Expect an improved performance. ZOOM ZOOM ZELDA hasn't been out in over a year, and it wouldn't be shocking if she needs a race. Her last Beyer - a career-best 41 - may have been propped up a bit as Zoom Zoom Zelda raced on the favorable outside paths that day. Still, you have to respect any downstate invader. INTREPID WOMAN popped and stopped in her final race of 2006. She's burned a lot of money in her short career, and will likely need a strong Beyer boost to defeat these.
MAJESTIC RISK can be forgiven for her most recent loss as it was her first start in over a year, and she raced very wide going into the turn. She can do better with that race under her belt. FOUR TAGS showed speed in her career debut at Aqueduct, and it's possible that she's the quickest from the gate. Another that must deal with a layoff line, however.

1. Smokin Racer
