WINDYINDY's career has been plagued by layoffs so it's nice to see her return within 45 days following a lifetime-best Beyer Speed Figure. The daughter of stakes-winner Unbridled Wind (12-4-1-3, $135,019) made a bold run to split horses on the turn last time out, but couldn't get to heavily-favored winner Russian Gypsy (2-5 odds) in the stretch. She may want a bit more ground to work with, but there should be enough pace in here to adequately setup her late kick.
GERIVELLO is the first foal out of an unraced half-sister to Grade 1 turf winner Balto Star, and she has yet to take a backward step on the Beyer scale. She was racing against the grain of a speed-favoring track last time out, and has the tactical speed to utilize stalk-and-pounce tactics in this spot. IDOITMYWAY is the first foal out of multiple stakes-winner Miss Pickums (20-6-1-1, $376,809), and she has high early speed. She has reason to improve in the third start of the form cycle with a bullet workout on display, but she failed to cash in over that speed track last time, and that 77 Beyer may be a bit inflated. She has yet to gain ground from the stretch call to the wire. MISS BARRISTER is a daughter of stakes-winner Bay Barrister (21-4-2-4, $102,487), and she cost $350,000 as a yearling. She shows some bullet workouts, and seems well-spotted for her career debut.
