Hoosier track report

Purses here will get a $1,000 boost across the board effective with Thursday's racing. The increase brings the bottom purse to $8,000. The purse for an Indiana-bred maiden special weight goes up to $14,500 and the top level of nonwinners-of-three will be run for $16,500.

There is a 10-race card Friday night, as entries remain light while the track competes for horses with Turfway Park. Eleven-race cards filled for Wednesday and Thursday. The track should get a boost over the weekend with the completion of the Prairie Meadows meet on Saturday. Fairmount Park finished its meet last weekend.

* Trainers Ralph Martinez and Kim Hammond continue to dominate, with Martinez holding a 17-12 edge in the standings before Wednesday's races. Ramsey Zimmerman, who picks up mounts for both trainers, leads the rider standings with 31 wins. Rodney Prescott and Lester Knight remain close behind with 26 and 22 wins.
