A track record 1:54 4/5 mile by 2-year-old colt trotter Samo Different Day highlighted Grand Circuit action on Saturday night at Hoosier Park. Driven by trainer Jimmy Takter, Samo Different Day was racing in the first of two $46,000 splits of The Madison County, and he would lead through fractions of 28 2/5, 57 1/5, and 1:26 3/5 on his way to lowering the previous track record for a rookie colt trotter by a fifth of a second.  Samo Different Day, a Cantab Hall colt, is owned by Christina Takter and Samo Partners, and this was his second win and he has now banked $166,077.  Sent off at 1-2, he paid $3.00 to win. Takter also won a $35,150 grouping of The Circle City for sophomore male trotters with Rubio in 1:53 4/5.  The 8-5 favorite, Rubio was up to get the lead at the 27 4/5 opening quarter, and he would go on to reach the half in 56 4/5 and the three-quarters in 1:26 on his way to a 1 1/4 length win.  Rubio, by Cantab Hall, is owned by Christina Takter, John Fielding, Brixton Medical Inc., and Jim Fielding, and this was his seventh lifetime victory.  Now an earner of $159,804, Rubio returned $5.40 to win. In other action, colt pacers raced for the biggest purse of the night in a single $73,300 section of The Madison County, and Stay Hungry (Trace Tetrick) would win by a diminishing length in 1:52 1/5 after doing most of the work on the front-end.  Stay Hungry, a son of Somebeachsomewhere, is trained by Tony Alagna for owners Brad Grant and Irwin Samelman.  He has won four times from six opportunities, and he now sports a bankroll of $127,964.  The 8-5 second choice, Stay Hungry paid $5.20 to win. Rounding out the action in The Circle City were two tests for 3-year-old pacing colts.  Eddard Hanover (Ricky Macomber Jr.) won the first one, worth a purse of $37,600, rallying from a third-over trip to score by half a length in 1:51.  Eddard Hanover, trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., JJK Stables LLC., Larry Karr, and Weaver Bruscemi LLC., made his eighth appearance in victory lane, and he has now put away $274,402.  A 2-1 shot, Eddard Hanover returned $6.20. JK Parlay (Joe Bongiorno) collected top honors in the other $37,900 test, halting the teletimer in 1:52 2/5.  The leader at the 27 2/5 opening quarter, JK Parlay was pocketed at the 1:23 2/5 three-quarters, and he came up the passing lane in the stretch to prevail by a length and a quarter for trainer Nick Surick and owner J L Benson Stables Inc.  JK Parlay, unraced at two, has won five times in his initial campaign, good for earnings of $59,150.  He paid $9.60 to win as a 7-2 offering.
