Hoosier Park hires Kevin Greeley


Kevin Greeley has been named the new racing secretary for Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing at Hoosier Park.

Greeley had been the vice president of racing and racing secretary for Arlington Park for the past four years and is currently assistant racing secretary at Gulfstream Park. He also served as a member of the North American Ratings committee which assigns an international handicap rating to all horses that have run in stakes worth $75,000 or more in North America.

Before coming to Arlington, Greeley was the racing secretary for the Emirates Racing Association/Dubai Racing Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for 11 years.

"I am elated to have Kevin oversee our racing program at Hoosier Park," said Jeff Smith, general manager of racing. "Kevin Brings in an enormous amount of experience and background in the Thoroughbred industry. We feel fortunate to have him on our team and he will be a big asset to our program as we continue to enhance the quality of our racing product."

The 63-day Thoroughbred meet begins July 30 and runs through Oct. 24.
