Hoosier: Louise's Love Code rallies

ANDERSON, Ind. - Louise's Love Code captured the Terre Haute Stakes and Amanda's Crown won the fillies division of the Indiana Stallion Stakes Friday night at Hoosier Park.

Under leading rider Terry Thompson, Louise's Love Code rallied for a 1 1/4-length win in the $33,800 Terre Haute after wearing down Thesullivanfive through the stretch of the one-mile test. It was another 2 1/4 lengths back to 6-5 favorite Connies Travels in third.

Louise's Love Code covered a mile in 1:42.59 over muddy footing in her first try at the distance. It was her first stakes score. Trained by David Paulus for Larry Dean and David Jones, Louise's Love Code returned $10.40 as the third choice in a field of nine.

Amanda's Crown drew off for a 4 1/4-length win over five others in the $42,750 Stallion Stakes. She covered the six furlongs in 1:12.90 under Mike Morgan and paid $2.60 as a heavy favorite. Amanda's Crown's victory was her second straight stakes score for trainer Stephen Dunn and the Swifty Farms.

Morgan and Bobby Walker Jr. each booted home four winners on the 11-race card.
