Taking the lead at the break, Honey Honey Honey turned back several bids while setting the pace and then was able to hold off several rivals on the way to a nose upset in the Inaugural Stakes for 2-year-old colts and geldings at Tampa Bay Downs. Under a strong ride by Jose Lopez, Honey Honey Honey returned a whopping $79.40 despite having raced with solid stakes company at Calder most of the season. He covered the six furlongs in 1:11.85. Run Sully Run overcame a rough start and closed fast to be second, a half-length in front of Surrealdeal, with Service Corp a late-running fourth, another quarter-length back. * In the Sandpiper Stakes, jockey Carlos Montalvo bided his time with Unfolding Wish while as many as five rivals tried to gain the lead through the opening half-mile. Unfolding Wish then slipped through along the rail to gain the lead in the stretch and held off a fast-closing Bear Lahaina for a half-length win in the six-furlong sprint for 2-year-old fillies. Trained by Dale Bennett, Unfolding Wish returned $10.40 while covering the distance in 1:11.37 for her third straight win.
