Honey Honey Honey uncatchable

Honey Honey Honey used his strong early speed to lead from start to finish en route to a 5 1/2-length victory in the $65,000 Pasco, one of two stakes for 3-year-olds on the card at Tampa Bay Downs.

Coming off a nose victory in the Inaugural three weeks earlier, Honey Honey Honey ($18), ridden by Jose Lopez for trainer Stanley Gold, covered seven furlongs in 1:24.75.

Gentleman James finished second at 24-1, a length in front of Surrealdeal, who had an eventful trip under Wesley Henry Sr. Run Sully Run, the even-money favorite after the scratch of the Nick Zito-trained Cool Coal Man, ran fifth after being hung wide over a racing surface that favored speed and inside post positions all afternoon.

* In the co-featured $65,000 Gasparilla Stakes for fillies, Awesome Chic ($5.80) ran down dueling leaders Formal Arrangement and Unfolding Wish in the final 40 yards to post a half-length victory.

Ridden by Irwin Rosado for trainer Rafael Ramos, Awesome Chic is now 2 for 3 lifetime. The final time for seven furlongs was 1:25.98.

Formal Arrangement held off Unfolding Wish by a head for the place.
