INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Really Mr Greely, the longest shot in a field of five, led throughout Thursday’s $100,000 Hollywood Prevue Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park, leading to a sweep of the first four positions in the field of five for trainer Bob Baffert. Baffert also started Super Ninety Nine (4-5 favorite), Shakin It Up, and Z Big Apple, who finished second through fourth. Heir Kitty, a filly trained by Peter Miller, finished last after racing just behind the leaders until midstretch. Really Mr Greely ($24.60) set fractions of 22.74 and 46.31 seconds under jockey Julien Leparoux. Really Mr Greely held off a late threat from Super Ninety Nine to win by a half-length. He ran seven furlongs in 1:22.84. “He broke sharp,” Leparoux said. “I wanted to be on the lead. They left me alone.” Leparoux said that Really Mr Greely benefited when he was able to put a bit of distance on the chasing pack on the turn. Really Mr Greely led by a length after a half-mile and by 1 1/2 lengths with a furlong remaining. Really Mr Greely, by Horse Greely, has won 2 of 3 starts and $85,620 for owners Mike Pegram, Karl Watson, and Paul Weitman.
