Also really curious that the Q in the 6th race paid a whopping $616.00, while the X ONLY paid $225.50....

Can DRF or the FBI look into how in the 6th race at Hollywood, Sat. Dec. 1, a $1 exacta with a 30-1 on top of a 37-1, in a full field of twelve, pay ONLY $225.50? Someone launch an investigation ASAP, please.

Ron: I had a situation like that at CD a couple of years back. I tried calling the mutuels dept at the track and got nowhere. It wasn't until I had DRF look into it that they discovered that someone online had placed a huge bet on the combo. Nothing illegal was involved, but at least I got an answer. If I were you, I would email Brad Free, Steve Andersen, or Jay Privman directly. They can get to the bottom of it.

I should expand. Four or five horses came out of the same race, which I tossed. there were another 2 who came out of a different race and were both somewhere in the 50-1 range and had no shot. I boxed the other 4 who also ran together in a better race with the shipper. I hit it the most (best) way because of the 4 who ran together, the winner was the speed of the group

Remember - Odds to WIN do not reflect odds in the exacta pool. It is more of an overlay thing than a :call the FBI thing". Three of the horses were among the favorites in the race. The other (speed) was the longest odds. If you knew the field was going to be won by horses that ran together, you had better key the speed horse. Basic handicapping.

I was alive to Bwanadada. Felt like Julian let up on the horse a bit in the final 50 yards. And it cost me $14K. Humbling.

Julian did "Fall asleep" in the LAST 50 yards. He is the BEST on the Grass. He WILL be the "Go-to" grass RIDER in the Years to come. Mitchell HAS to suck it up,becuase Julian is his SON-IN-LAW. Talamo would have won the race plain and simple...
