Hollywood Park pick six pays $3,997 as favorites prevail

INGLEWOOD, Calif. - On a day with one double-digit payoff among the winners, the pick six paid $3,997.20 at Betfair Hollywood Park on Thursday.

Interest in Thursday’s pick six was heightened by a carryover of $94,863 from last Sunday. Bettors added $658,615 to the pool on Thursday. There were 112 winning tickets. Consolation tickets with five winners were worth $67.

The winners of the pick six races, the third through eighth races, were Full’s Figurehead ($3.40), Cacau ($4.40), Rock This Way ($7.20), Woebegon ($10.20), Uno Dos Adios ($9), and Wise Boss ($5.40).

Full’s Figurehead, Cacau, and Wise Boss were favored. Rock This Way, and Woebegon were second choices. Uno Dos Adios was the fourth choice in the seventh race, an allowance race for 3-year-olds over 1 1/16 miles.

I've never spent more than 48 bucks on a pick six. Most of the time it's 4. I only got a consolation and that was once with 2 bucks. I figure if I can't find 3 singles, I'm not loading up on the other legs. And it seems that when I take 4 horses in a race (imaginary bet) it means I don't have clue about what kind of dynamics are involved. In that case, another horse outside the box will win, often a favorite or low odds horse. Ironically, it seems long shots are easier to pick than choosing between 3 or 4 low odds entries. Sorry to hear about the big losses others suffered. I can't believe they are not joking.

I bet $96.00 and got back $67.00. Should have remembered Mike Smith 's mount in the Derby when he got blinks for the first time. That was the one I failed to include in my ticket, Uno Dos Adios.

Disaster struck for me my single Unbridled Giant and Baffert let me down..It looked like he was improving and had the pace to himself...the only thing is .................... he did not improve...$3200 ticket

If you got formulator. You can see that Uno Dos Adios raced against Rosengold, on dirt or a synth sprint if I'm not mistaken. I considered that significant as Rosengold seemed to have consistent speed. Speed in sprints seem to be a great foundation for longer races. Therefore I used Rosengold as a benchmark horse.

I bet $600 & got nothing! I played a ticket expecting a big payoff which left off a couple of favorites. Not a good idea today

Bet $10,000, get back $4,000. This is why no one will be throwing themselves in front of the bulldozers that are scheduled to tear Hollywood Park down.

I guess I was lucky to hit the pick six with a $4.00 dollars ticket and a consolation at the Hollywood Park getting back most of my losing at the Belmont Park ..

Why would you put $10,000 in the pick 6 that has relatively short fields and standout horses on paper. This pick 6 paid very generously considering all the low priced horses. It's not Hollywood Park's fault you lost money.
