Hollywood Park pick six carryover awaits players on Friday

Email

INGLEWOOD, Calif. - There is a pick six carryover of $79,599 for Friday’s program at Betfair Hollywood Park, the next day of live racing.

A surprise win by Sweetest Secret ($111.80) in Sunday’s seventh race helped to clinch the carryover. With four dark days of racing in Southern California between Sunday and Friday, interest in the pick six is likely to be high. The pool of new money could exceed $600,000 on Friday.

Friday’s program is the first day of the final weekend in the history of Hollywood Park. The track will be closed permanently after Sunday’s final day of the current autumn meeting.

There are eight races on Friday. The pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 12:30 p.m, Pacific.

The pick six races have fields of 8, 10, 10, 11, 10, and 14. There are three turf races, including the fifth race over a mile. The other two turf races are sprints. There are three sprints on the synthetic main track.

The feature race is an optional claimer over six furlongs on turf for California-breds, the seventh race.

Depending on budget here are the horses to KEY in the p6, it's not cheap but there will be some scratches I'm sure, : 2-3-4-7/3-5-8/1-8-9-10/1-2/2-3/11-14 $768 but just 1 scratch in legs 1 & 2 makes it 1/2 or $384. Chances are strong that either #3 race 3 and/or #10 race 5 will be scratched. But this is MY ticket - scratches

I miss the good old days, when you asked someone who they liked they gave you one number, "Hey Bill, who do you like?" "The 5" ... now it's like "Hey who do you like?" "I like the 5-8-9-3, oh and the 11-12" People can't seem to just pick a winner these days
