Hollywood Park: Pick six carryover of $105,000 to greet bettors Thursday
Email
INGLEWOOD, Calif. - There is a pick six carryover of $105,448 for Thursday’s eight-race program at Betfair Hollywood Park.
The pick six was too difficult to hit on Sunday, especially after Better Lucky ($72.20) pulled an upset in the first leg, the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes. A win by Unbridled Command ($16) in the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby in Sunday’s ninth race clinched the carryover even though the last race was won by favored Miss American Pie ($5).
Thursday’s pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 12:30 p.m. Pacific. The first leg of the pick six has an approximate post time of 1:30 p.m.
Thursday’s pick six races have fields of 9, 9, 10, 8, 6 and 9. Four of the races are sprints, with two races around two turns.

Best Bets
MAGNIFCENTMILLION is obviously not today's "best bet" because of his exploits, other than running against Belmont Stakes-bound Giant Finish and allowance winner Glowing Ember last fall; rather, it's more an indictment against the others, along with the fact that the lone special-weight dropper is bred to love any moisture in the track. BROADWAY HAT is third off the bench for meet-leading trainer who saddled four winners Thursday; the half-empty view is he has burned chalk players time and again since last May.
