The final spring-summer meeting at Betfair Hollywood Park had an increase of 4.1 percent in average all-sources handle over last year’s corresponding meet, according to a statement released by the track on Tuesday.

The 49-day race meeting, which ended on July 14, had an average all-sources handle of $9,433,702, while the 2012 figure was $9,064,114. The track did not publish ontrack attendance and handle figures, but the track’s president, Jack Leibau, said in an interview on July 14 that ontrack handle was “down significantly.”

Average daily handle in California, including ontrack, simulcast and account-wagering sources, was $5,319,781, a gain of 1.5 percent over 2012. The average handle outside of California was up 7.6 percent, to $4,113,921.

The total commingled handle for the 49 days reached $462,251,389, a gain of 2 percent over 2012.

Hollywood will run a six-week autumn meeting from Nov. 7 through Dec. 22, which will be the track’s final meet. The property is scheduled to be developed in 2014.
