High Resolve remained undefeated and kept her streak of being on the lead at every call intact as she scored an easy 2 3/4-length victory Saturday in the $58,800 Princess Stakes at Bay Meadows. High Resolve, by Put It Back, the sire of Smokey Stover, cruised to the lead from the rail and never had a serious challenge in the six-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies, winning in 1:09.92. Tail Spin Topper and stablemate Mini Tales finished second and third. "What a nice filly," winning rider Russell Baze said. "She just doesn't do anything wrong. There's not a whole lot of strategy with her. You just break and go." Owned by Harry Aleo, High Resolve ($2.80) has won all five career starts, the past three in stakes. "She did miss a little time last month so I told Russell to try to save as much as he could early," trainer Greg Gilchrist said. Gilchrist said that he would begin looking for a stakes for High Resolve in another five or six weeks. "She has a lot of lick," he said. "She was supposed to win today. She was the best horse." High Resolve, who caused a minus show pool of $52,453, earned $33,500 to lift her career total to $187,100.
