Hezamazing seeks third in a row

Hezamazing's tactical speed should serve him well when he attempts to win his third straight race in the $20,000 Front Range at Arapahoe Park. The seven-furlong race is for 3-year-olds and up and drew a field of 10.

Hezamazing has stalked and pounced his way to consecutive wins, the first a 6 1/2-furlong allowance at Turf Paradise on March 13. He ran next on May 31 at Arapahoe and drew off by 5 1/4 lengths in the $22,000 Arapahoe Sprint. Hezamazing covered the distance in a sharp 1:10, and for the effort equaled his best career Beyer Figure, a 78. The number is the best last-race Beyer in the Front Range.

Hezamazing appears to have more natural speed than most of his Sunday rivals, and might get a nice tracking trip off of Get Thee Hence, who is a candidate to set the pace off a wire-to-wire allowance win at seven furlongs in his last start June 12.

Quyet Bui has the mount on Hezamazing for trainer Rick Houghton.

Singin Vicar will move back into open company after getting up for a half-length win over Colorado-breds in the $39,000 Aspen at Arapahoe on June 21. He covered six furlongs in a sharp 1:09.60. Vernon Scantling has the mount for trainer James Jones.
