Chicago Six dominated Illinois-breds with a victory for the second straight year in the $75,000 Illinois Coronet Handicap at Hawthorne. Carrying top weight of 126 pounds, Chicago Six ($4.40) cruised home by six lengths under jockey Alfredo Juarez, covering the 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.44 over a fast track.

San Pedro, the slight favorite, finished second, with Not Happening third.

In other stakes action:

Magic Doe ($4.40) won the $75,000 Lightning Jet Stakes for the second straight year, outlasting Manitowish by three-quarters of a length. Randall Meier was aboard Magic Doe.

Capitol View ($21.20) provided Meier with his second stakes win of the day in the $75,000 Powerless Stakes for fillies and mares.

Tap Your Feet ($32.40) upset the favored Shemya by a neck in the $75,000 Illinois Princess Handicap.
