Harrisburg Sale: Chris Oakes buys sale topper at $355,000

Bodacious topped day one of the Harrisburg sale at $355k.

Here are the top sellers at the Harrisburg yearling sale on November 4 in Pennsylvania. Listed are all horses which sold for at least $100,000 on day one of the sale.

The total spent on day one was $14,197,000 on 218 horses. According to statistics found on harnessracingupdate.com from 2012, the total for day one last year was $12,830,500 for 239 horses for an average price of $53,684 per horse. The average price per horse was $65,124 in 2013, a 21 percent increase over last year.
