Race 7

BRICKYARD NELLIE exits a lifetime best mile from last week when in her first start off the claim and continues to ascend right up the ladder.  She steps up again, but horses in this form win races no matter what.  Herrera decides to drop GIVEITTOEMSTAIGHT in for a claiming tag; mare's best would be more than good enough;  aggressive try coming.  STAR KEEPER was hard used last out in her first start for Oakes, but was no match for the top choice.  DIAMOND TIARA lands her best post in a long time.

Race 8

CHANGED IT ALL was a winner here three back in 1:57 after being parked early and I'd have to believe anything resembling that try would be good enough in this Stallion Series division;  makes amends for failure last out at twenty cents on the dollar.  LINDYOFALIFETIME figures if she can mind her manners; addition of Gingras helps, too.  BATTING LASHES showed a new dimension last out and debuts for a new barn today; will go faster than what those lines show.  WON TON HANOVER always seems to be around for a piece.

Race 9

PILATUS had some sneaky late trot to offer last out in Zitomira's 1:54 2/5 mile and faced some decent ones in prior races at the Meadowlands.  Tetrick was listed on two others and opted here; encouraging.  I'M SO STRIKING exits a mile against Real Babe and now drops to his lowest level in sometime. He'll make his presence known at some point.  FORTUNISTA looks just fair on paper but these connections get me every time I don't include them.

Race 10

It's tough to play against any 2/1 morning line favorite to close out the sequence, but there will be much value elsewhere to beat LITTLE BROWN FOX.  He raced against Modern Family two back but had no excuse in losing to the rival that beat him last week off a :58 half.  He is no lock by any measure.  PEKOE FASHION has yet to regain his 2-year-old form but that most recent try, as well as the prior 1:54 qualifier at Rosecroft, look good.  From this post he should have every chance if good enough.  IMA GOLD DIGGER seems overdue; Tetrick opts for the Didomenico-trained HAULIN LASER over BAXIMUM.
