Race 7

ST PETE STAR has been crushing them lately at Pocono regardless of the trainer and his at career form at the age of nine.  He was up against it from the start in his most recent against Open types such as Flem Em N and was respected enough to go off at just 7/1.  It's back to claimers now; obvious short priced threat.  It took Ruiz a start to get ANNOUNCEMENT N figured out and now that one has run off back to back strong-looking miles.  He'll have to stave off #7 at some point.  H HALL should be in line for a good trip from this spot; will offer a much better price than his most recent at this level.

Race 8

ADVENTURE BOUND was a sharp and relatively comfortable wire to wire winner last out and he's already shown he can overcome the outside post.  Second finisher from that 1:49 2/5 race two back already came back to win next out as did this one; in sharp form.  PANCETTA exits a pretty salty condition at Pocono for Todd and was hard used in the Yonkers Open prior to that.  He should make a run at some point; square price.  SOUTHERN ALLIE made a late charge last out against the top choice and can threaten again with one well-timed move.

Race 9

DRINK THE WINE shocked in her first start off the bench in PASS action at the Meadows last week, and those were some pretty decent foes she beat in the process.  Brett Miller makes the trek here today for this one and her recent win probably was not a fluke.  DEFIANT DONATO tasted defeat last out for the first time and lost only to a horse with the better trip; well bred filly deserves respect and can easily make amends.  RUFFLESHAVERIDGES has talent and can go with these.

Race 10

STAGECOACH HOLDUP was loaded with late pace in his most recent and now drops; his best would give him a big chance.  ALED HANOVER tracked cover upon his return east last out but wasn't done any favors when the mile went in 1:49 4/5.  Burke trainee should offer some value.  THREE SWINGS was a 1:51 4/5 winner here two back and seems as good as any to round out the board.
