Wiggle It Jiggleit should be making his 2016 debut sometime next week.

Any doubts about Horse of the Year Wiggle It Jiggleit’s form as he returns for his 4-year-old season were quickly erased following a blistering 1:50 1/5 qualifying win at Dover Downs on Wednesday morning. Coming off a subpar effort where he finished just third, Wiggle It Jiggleit wired the field by 32-1/4 lengths with regular driver Montrell Teague in tow.

Wiggle It Jiggleit set fractions of 26 4/5, 55 3/5 and 1:23 2/5 during the mile.

“He was more like himself today,” said owner George Teague, Jr, who added that he didn’t think anything was wrong to begin with.

“Hopefully that stops the questions of ‘what's wrong with him’ because it looks like nothing to me,” remarked Montrell via Facebook.

According to George Teague, the gelding's 2016 pari-mutuel debut will likely be in the second leg of the Levy Memorial series at Yonkers Raceway on March 26. "I am leaning in that direction (racing in the Levy)," said Teague. "I wish I could start one time at Dover, but I almost need to hit the rest of the eliminations to make it to the final."
