BALMORAL

10/24: 0w, ++ closers

10/23: 3w, + closers

JUST BY DESIGN -

Was first over a long way into a quick final half, held well for the show

MACHO BURBON -

Was 6th at the quarter, power-brushed making up 8 lengths to take control past the half, drew clear to a sharp win

GALACTIC STAR -

Had post 10, was 5th over, finished quickly from a tough spot, last quarter in :26 2/5

CONZO*** -

Was 8th at the quarter, rushed up boldly, moved three wide to clear two horses, pressed the leader through a quick third quarter, was shaken off but held gamely for the show

RED HOT ART -

3yo colt has had breaking problems but stayed flat in his first start since April, was 10th early, followed weak cover and paced a strong final quarter to get up, much improved

 

NORTHFIELD

10/23: 9w, + speed

ONE LAST BONO*** -

Left from post 8 and was parked the mile without cover pressing the bias-aided 3/5 winner, held gamely to be clearly second best

HERE AND NOW -

Left from post 8, was three wide to the quarter and unable to clear, remained parked the mile prompting the pace, held okay

 

HOOSIER

10/24: 4w, no bias

10/23: 8w, no bias, speed did much better than usual but horses were still able to win from off the pace

10/22: 1w, + closers

DABESTLEADEREVER -

Left from post 8, was used hard to the lead in :26 2/5, set a fast pace and didn't tire badly

KELSEY'S KEEPSAKE -

Trotter broke before the start, was way back, recovered and made up a ton of ground to finish 5th

SOME KINDA BEACH -

Followed weak cover 4th over and finished fast to just miss

HOOOFIE BLUEGRASS -

Left from post 10, tucked 5th, rushed up first over against the sharp 3/5 winner and held well for the show

 

CAL EXPO

10/25: 3w, no bias

 

HARRINGTON

10/22: 10w, ++ speed

 

POCONO

10/24: 6w, + speed

MR MASSIMO -

Classy claimer left quickly to the lead in :26 4/5, set the pace, ripped off a :26 4/5 third quarter and drew off impressively

DIAL OR NODIAL -

Blasted to the lead in :25 3/5, yielded to the sharp winner and chased him home clearly second best

 

PHILADELPHIA

10/25: 6w, + speed

10/23: 5w, no bias

10/22: 6w, + speed

TOUCHDOWN MINDALE -

Left strongly from post 7 and was parked to the lead in :26 3/5, yielded, chased the sharp 2/5 favorite's quick fractions and weakened; dangerous speed

 

FREEHOLD

10/24: 8w, + speed

10/23: 6w, no bias,

10/22: 5w, + speed

ITALIAN REBEL -

Had post 6, followed poor cover, moved three wide at the three quarters, was three wide on the final turn and continued gamely to the wire pacing a :29 last quarter in a good try

ROLL' EM UP -

Had post 7, followed cover and finished solidly for the show from a tough spot

 

MONTICELLO

10/22: 5w, + speed

ALERO BLUE CHIP*** -

Was 6th at the half and stuck behind tiring cover, raced three wide through the final quarter and finished sharply for the show, last quarter in :28 2/5

HARDTS OR BETTOR*** -

Third over behind weak cover, finished strongly for the show, last quarter in :27 3/5

NARCIAN JEWEL -

Had post 7, followed cover, swung wide late final turn and finished boldly for the win

SELL A BIT N -

Had post 7, followed weak cover third over and finished sharply for the place

FORTY FIVE RED -

Left from post 8 and was parked to the lead in :27 4/5, set the pace, met pressure at the three quarters, weakened but didn't tire that badly
