Harness: Sharp Horses and Track Trends from May 5 - May 7

BALMORAL

 

5/8: 4w, no bias

PARK LANE CRYSTAL -

Followed weak cover third over, rallied wide and finished sharply for the place

 

HARRINGTON

 

5/7: 6w, + speed, not an intense  speed bias so far this week, but leavers and first over horses did well and clearly have an advantage, but a few horses did win off cover trips

5/6: 5w, + speed

5/5: 7w, + speed

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT -

Was third over, rallied wide around the final turn and finished gamely for the show

 

NORTHFIELD

 

5/7: 5w, no bias

5/6: 6w, + speed

 

HOOSIER

 

5/7: 5w, no bias

5/6: 1w, + closers

GLOIRE DREAM -

Had post 8, rallied three wide around the final turn and finishes strongly for the place

 

PHILADELPHIA

 

5/7: 9w, ++ speed

LATE NIGHT JOKE -

Left from post 6, tucked 4th, went first over into a quick third quarter and held well

 

THE MEADOWS

 

5/7: 4w, no bias

5/6: 5w, no bias

5/5: 6w, + speed

PHONE TERROR -

Followed weak cover and finished strongly for the place

DOCTOR RJ*** -

Power-brushed to the top at the half, pacing a :27 3/5 second quarter, then reeled off two more sub :28 quarters while drawing off impressively

 

POCONO

 

5/7: 6w, + speed

5/6: 5w, + speed

TORNADO -

Left from post 7, was looped leaving, lost cover and raced parked the mile while first over, never quite got past the leader but held gamely for the show

INTHEBLINKOFANEYE -

Followed cover from post 7 and finished fast for the place

 

MONTICELLO

 

5/7: 2w, no bias

5/6: 4w, no bias

5/5: 4w, + speed

 

YONKERS

 

5/6: 4w, no bias
5/5: 5w, + speed

SUPER SOPH -

Didn't really leave from post 7 but was able to tuck 6th in from a gapper on the first turn, rushed up first over approaching the half, held gamely for the show after the tough trip

CHERRY BLISS -

Followed cover third over and finished with solid pace for the show
