METRO LAD -

6-5 favorite had the rail, was sitting the pocket behind an 83-1 shot and pulled first over to push a blazing pace at the half, difficult trip

KENDYL -

Had post 10, followed poor cover 4th over, rallied wide and finished gamely for the place

CHEWY BACA -

Odds-on favorite had a tough trip, pulled behind terrible cover, paced a :54 4/5 middle-half while moving wide before the three quarters, held okay for the show

TIME RUNNING OUT -

8th early, followed weak cover 4th over, finished sharply in :26 4/5 for the show

REV ME UP -

Left from post 9 and was used hard to clear past a :54 4/5 half, excusably tired

TINK AND TIGER -

Left and tucked, went first over into a quick last half, couldn't clear, held well

MORTAL COMBAT -

Was 4th over, finished fast for the show in :26 4/5

 

MAYWOOD

5/30: 9w, ++ speed

5/29: 5w, + speed

FANCY CREEK ELUSIV -

Had post 7, followed cover wide around the final turn and finished strongly

DIFFERENCE MAKER -

Left from post 6 and was used hard parked to the half for the lead, held the place

 

HARRINGTON

6/1: 7w, + speed

HARDSCRABBLE TILLY*** -

Had post 8, followed cover 4th over and finished fast against the bias

 

NORTHFIELD

5/29: 7w, + speed

KELLY BLUE CHIP -

8th at the quarter and 4th over at the half, followed cover three wide at the half to clear a tiring horse and was three wide a long way, gained good ground and held well

EE BAY -

Left from post 6 and was parked prompting a fast pace, tough trip but consistent mare is a threat at this level

 

HOOSIER

5/30: 1w, + closers

5/29: 2w, + closers

CJ'S RASCAL -

Left and was parked to the lead in :27, yielded to the sharp 4-5 winner and held well

TIME OUTA JAIL -

Followed weak cover from post 9 and finished sharply for the place

RUSSELL THE MUSCLE -

9th early, followed weak cover, rallied wide on the final turn and won gamely

METRO SHOPPING -

Left, tucked, followed cover, passed horses quickly on the final turn and drew off

 

PHILADELPHIA

6/1: 6w, + speed

5/30: 6w, + speed

5/29: 8w, + speed

KANDY KORN -

Trotter broke early and recovered in last, followed cover third over and finished sharply to get up for a game win

LLC DELIGHT -

Paced a :27 2/5 third quarter first over and was second best

ASTREOS FLASH*** -

6th at the half, made a sharp first over bid pacing a :27 3/5 third quarter, finished gamely for the place

 

POCONO

6/1: 5w, no bias

5/31: 1w, no bias

RING LEDA -

Left quickly to the lead in :26 4/5, yielded, pulled first over pushing the fast pace and finished second but broke and was placed third, but it was a tough trip, game effort

TREVOR WIN FOR US -

Blasted to the lead in :26 1/5, set a fast pace and held well for the show

HILLBILLY HANOVER -

Had the rail, left strongly in :26, yielded, went first over into a :27 3/5 third quarter, took the lead but was out-kicked on the wire in a game placing

RAISIN GIN -

Went first over into a :55 1/5 last half and held well for the show

 

THE MEADOWS

5/30: 5w, no bias

 

MEADOWLANDS

5/31: 9w, ++ speed

5/30: 2w, + closers

HILLUSTRIOUS -

Well-bred trotter broke off the first turn, was taken to the outside and gathered together by the soft hands of Ake Svanstedt, followed cover, charged three wide on the final turn and finished gamely under strong handling to get up with a :27 4/5 final quarter

HEAVEN'S DOOR -

3yo trotting filly shot out of the gate in :26 3/5, set a quick but well-rated pace under expert guidance by Svanstedt and won clear on her own

ODDS ON EQUULEUS -

Had post 7 and was backed up by weak cover while third over, rallied wide at the three quarters and finished strongly against the bias to get the place

ITTAKESTWOBABY -

Was out most of the mile following cover, rallied wide and finished sharply

 

MONTICELLO

TIOGA DOWNS

ETERNAL PRINCE*** -

3yo trotter broke at the start, may have been as much as 25 lengths behind at one point, made up a ton of ground, followed cover, lost cover at the 5/8's then picked up cover again on the final turn, tipped wide for the drive and drew clear late

MISS SPARTA -

Left well pushing a :26 4/5 opener, was shuffled back to 7th, followed cover down the back and finished well

WINDS OF CHANGE -

Left and tucked, went first over into a :26 2/5 third quarter and held the show

 

YONKERS

5/31: 4w, no bias

5/30: 4w, + speed

5/29: 4w, no bias

EXPENSIVE TOY -

Left from post 7 and was parked to the quarter for the lead, set the pace under pressure and didn't tire that badly

FORT VALLEY AS*** -

Trotter left from post 7 and was parked out in a vicious speed duel as Doully refused to yield, battled for the lead, finally took control late on the final turn and drew clear gamely

TARPON HANOVER -

Left sluggishly, made his way up to the lead late on turn two, set the pace and gave way grudgingly late

MACHS BEACH BOY -

Third over from post 6, finished fast for the place

BIG JER -

Had post 8, moved out on the final turn, stacked wide for the drive and finished well

BULLET BOB -

Left and was three deep around the first turn, raced parked the mile without cover in a speed duel, was shaken off at the three quarters but only lost by 2 lengths

GAMBLER'S TALE -

Had post 7, moved out down the back, had to brush three wide as his cover tired, was wide most of the final turn and narrowed in gamely with a :28 1/5 final quarter to get up on the wire at 97-1 for hot driver Eric Carlson

 

WESTERN FAIR

STATE TREASURER -

Broke at the start from post 1, recovered and was 8th, followed cover 4th over, followed cover three wide around the final turn, angled wider for the drive and finished powerfully to get up late and defend his Molson Pace title from last year
