Followed weak cover, went three wide on the final turn and finished well against the bias

MAKENA CAT -

Was first over pushing a :28 2/5 third quarter and held well for the show

WILD DREAM*** -

Stepping up in class off a second-place finish from post 8, left from post 3, tried to get the lead but was rebuffed by the 4/5 favorite, took back a bit on turn two, moved again first over while parked the mile without cover, challenged hard and finally wrestled command from the favorite mid-final turn, drew off in the stretch in huge effort

THATILLBSWEET -

Had post 6 but was 8th at the quarter, was third over behind poor cover, followed cover three wide on the final turn and finished well against the bias from a tough spot

ABSOLUT BRUT -

Had post 9, followed weak cover and finished willingly to lose by a less than a length

AS SEELY PROMISED -

Was 7th and stuck behind poor cover, finished strongly for the place

VELOCITY VESPA -

Had post 6, shot to the lead in :26 3/5, rated the half then took off, drew away full of pace

5/24: 5w, no bias, speed was an advantage but three horses did rally to win off cover

5/22: 2w, + closers, surprisingly tiring track, closers did much better than they usually do here

5/21: 6w, + speed

DELAWARE HANOVER -

Left from post 6 and was used hard to clear in :26, was able to rate the half then raced under pressure and held okay for the show

HERE COMES SWIFTY -

Left from post 5 and was parked in a speed duel, couldn't clear, held well considering

 

POCONO

5/24: 2w, no bias

5/23: 2w, no bias

PAYDAZE ON THE WAY -

Left from post 8, moved three wide at the quarter to clear a breaker, took the lead past the quarter, set the pace under second-half pressure and held well for the place

SAMS TREASURE -

Left from post 9 and was used very hard parked past a :25 4/5 opening quarter, set the pace until yielding at the five eighths and excusably tired

DRIVE ALL NIGHT -

Had post 8, got moving at the quarter, picked up weak cover, rallied three wide on the final turn and finished gamely to miss by two necks

 

FREEHOLD

RYAN AGAIN -

Left hard from the rail, set a fast pace under constant pressure, shook off two challengers but got nailed by the pocket horse on the wire in a game placing

THE BRUISER -

Followed weak cover third over, swung wide turning for home and finished well for the show, last quarter in :27 flat

MAGNUS DEO -

Left from post 8 and tucked third, was shuffled back to 7th, slipped out 4th over on the final turn, stacked wide for the drive and finished strongly

TOP BRAND -

Left from post 9 and worked her way to the lead approaching the half, set a quick pace and weakened but only lost by 2 lengths

CHEYENNE MIRIAM -

Left and yielded, was shuffled to 5th, angled out into a blindswitch in the stretch, had pace in close quarters then cleared late with steady pace

KATIE SAID -

Had post 7, followed cover fourth over, rallied four wide late on the final turn and finished boldly down the far outside to get up on the wire, paced her last half in :53 3/5

A PLACE IN HISTORY -

Left from post 7 and tucked third late on the first turn, went first over against a sharp 3/5 winner, never really reached him but held well for the show

STONEHOUSE ADAM -

Left well from post 9, yielded and was shuffled, angled out in the stretch, found room between horses in the final sixteenth and finished willingly

IDEALBEACH HANOVER -

Went first over against a classy 1/5 winner, pushed the :54 last half and held gamely

 

MONTICELLO

5/21: 7w, + speed

BLACK HAMMER -

Had post 6, rushed up first over before the half, battled with the sharp bias-aided 6/5 winner and held well for the place

 

TIOGA

ROCK N LOAD -

Left from post 7 and was used hard to clear in :27, set a quick pace under second-half pressure and held well for the show

BITTERSWEET CHAMP -

Was first over a long way, pushed a :27 4/5 third quarter, finished well but couldn’t get by the sharp front runner losing by a head in a game placing
