3/7: 2w, + closers

FOX ALLEY ANDY -

Had post 8, poor cover and a slow pace to overcome, made up ground strongly on the final turn and barreled home in :26 4/5 for the upset win

3/6: 3w, no bias

3/5: 5w, + speed, cold

ITS A SHAM -

Had post 7, followed weak cover, followed cover three wide around the final turn and finished well against the bias from a tough spot

MONTERO BLUE CHIP -

Third over from post 6, finished strongly, last quarter in :27 4/5

 

CAL EXPO

3/8: 3w, no bias

3/7: 4w, no bias

WILLEY BITE -

Had post 6, followed sluggish cover and finished well, last quarter in :27 4/5

BREWSKI*** -

Went first over, tried hard to clear the sharp even money winner, paced a :27 1/5 second quarter, couldn't clear, held well for the show

CENALTAFIRECRACKER -

On this one last week after a strong closing effort from an outside post, drew the rail this time, left sharply, set a hot pace while refusing to yield and held sway gamely

 

DOVER DOWNS

3/8: 8w, ++ speed, all 15 winners were within a length of the lead at the three quarters and only one horse rallied to win off a cover trip

MANOLITO MONTOYA*** -

Was third over behind poor cover, brushed three wide at the three quarters and drew off to an easy win against the bias, the only off the pace winner on the 15-race card

 

NORTHFIELD

3/5: 6w, + speed, cold

 

THE MEADOWS

3/6: 1w, no bias, sloppy track

 

FREEHOLD

3/7: 4w, no bias, sloppy track

 

MEADOWLANDS

3/7: 4w, no bias

3/6: 2w, + closers

WESTERN EMPRESS -

Left and was parked the mile without cover, pressed the pace, took the lead on the outside at the three quarters, weakened in the late stages in a game effort

KEEPING OPTIMISTIC -

Left strongly to secure the lead in :26 2/5, set a quick clip and held his advantage gamely

DETROIT RAPPER -

Trotter was 5th over from post 10, rallied very wide at the three quarters and finished with solid trot down the far outside

SIR CARY'S Z TAM -

Had post 10, moved at the quarter and followed cover, rallied three wide at the three quarters and finished well, last quarter in :26 3/5

WINDSONG GORGEOUS -

Left well and parked a horse to a quick opener, yielded, was trapped in the pocket, angled out in a blindswitch in the lane and was caught in tight quarters

3/5: 5w, + speed, off track

 

YONKERS

3/8: 5w, + speed

3/7: 5w, no bias

3/6: 9w, ++ speed

TOUCH AND GO -

Followed weak cover and finished well against the bias from a tough spot

VIRGIN MARY -

Had post 7, followed weak cover third over, swung wide late final turn and finished quickly against the bias down the outside, last quarter in 27 2/5

O' SUNDLAND -

Had post 7, blasted out of the gate and hustled three wide around the first turn to secure the lead, set the pace and dug in gamely to hold on

LITTLE MICHAEL B -

Left from post 8 and was used hard to clear in :27 1/5, set a quick clip, tired in the stretch and finished last but this was a difficult trip; finished fast from a tough spot two back

BIG N BAD -

Left from post 7 and was parked to the lead in :27 1/5, set a lively pace and gave way grudgingly late while pacing a solid :28 2/5 final quarter

WHOLLY LOUY -

Went first over from a tough spot in a single-file race where no one left except the one horse, paced a :28 1/5 third quarter, weakened but held okay considering the trip
