Harness: Sharp Horses and Track Trends for June 26 to June 29

BALMORAL

6/29: 4w, no bias

6/28: 2w, + closers, off track

WALKING TALL*** -

Made two moves to the lead at the half, took on pressure from there, weakened late but only lost by a length in a good effort over an off track that favored closers

SEEYOUATTHEFINISH*** -

Was 6th at the half, grinded first over pacing a :27 2/5 third quarter and finished gamely

UNLOCKED*** -

3yo uncorked a :53 1/5 middle-half after brushing to the lead, extended his margin at every call and won by 12 lengths

AL'S HAMMERED -

8th early, followed cover, rallied boldly on the turn and drew clear with a :53 last half

JUST BY DESIGN -

Left from post 10 and followed cover, lost cover, picked up cover second over, lost cover past the half, continued grinding on the rim and held well for the show

 

MAYWOOD

6/27: 6w, + speed

6/26: 7w, + speed

JOYFUL GAME -

Had post 7, moved at the quarter and was uncovered a long way, held okay

WEEKEND UPDATE -

Left from post 7 and was used hard battling for the lead through quick early fractions, couldn't clear the lead and excusably tired

 

NORTHFIELD

6/26: 8w, + speed

SWEETHEART DANCE*** -

Had post 10, was three wide at the quarter to clear a tiring horse, was three wide around the final turn, finished strongly to just miss

 

HOOSIER

6/28: 4w, no bias

6/27: 6w, no bias

6/26: 6w, no bias

METRO SHOPPING*** -

Had post 9 and followed weak cover 4th over, finished strongly in :26 1/5

INDIAN HERO -

10th early, followed cover and finished fastest of all

NIGHT PRO -

Left from post 9 and worked his way to the lead at the half in :53 2/5, won gamely

 

PHILADELPHIA

6/27: 7w, + speed

6/26: 6w, no bias

VERY LOUDLY -

Left, tucked, went first over pacing a :27 3/5 third quarter and held okay

COFFEE ADDICT -

Left and got parked the mile without cover in a fast-paced race, held okay

WALLTOCOUSINS*** -

Trotter left from post 7 and was parked the mile without cover pressing a quick pace, held gamely for the show in a race won by a classy dropdown 2-5 shot

PINE CREDIT -

Trotter followed cover, brushed three wide at the three quarters, was wide around the final turn and drew off

FANCYFREESHARK -

Left from post 7 and was used hard to clear in :26 2/5, set the pace under second-half pressure and lost by two necks while holding the show

 

POCONO

6/28: 11w, + speed, track was very fast

ST LADS HE MAN*** -

8yo was making his 2nd start in the Marty Fine barn, picked up Brett Miller, left and was parked to the lead past a :26 3/5 first quarter, paced a :53 3/5 middle-half, drew off  to win by 12 lengths in 1:48 4/5

VOICE OF TRUTH -

Left from post 7 and tucked 4th, went first over against classy drop-down winner Rockin Amadeus, paced a :26 3/5 third quarter and held well for the show

SEBASTIAN K S*** -

Trotter left in :26 2/5, backed the half down under expert handling, went :26 1/5 in the third quarter, drew off in the stretch under hustling to set a world record of 1:49

GALLIE BYTHE BEACH -

Left and was parked the mile without cover, paced a :26 3/5 third quarter applying pressure, weakened but held okay considering the trip

ALL BETS OFF -

Left from post 8 and tucked, went first over into a blistering :52 3/5 last half and held as well as can be expected for the show

SWEET LOU -

Left and was used hard three deep the entire first quarter, took control at the 3/8's, was under pressure from there and dug in bravely to hold off the pocket horse

DOMETHATAGAIN -

Followed cover, brushed three wide at the 5/8's to go after Sweet Lou, held okay

 

THE MEADOWS

6/27: 4w, no bias

6/28: 5w, no bias

6/27: 5w, + speed, not a strong bias but leavers seemed to have an advantage

CAROLSIDEAL -

Had post 10, was 4th over behind weak cover, finished solidly in :26 flat

SPEND IT ALL -

Left well from post 8, yielded, was shuffled out of contention

DEALT A WINNER -

2yo colt power-brushed to the lead making up 7 lengths while pacing a :27 second quarter, had something left to win his debut impressively

RIGHT ON MOLLY -

Left to the early lead and yielded, powered three wide to regain the lead at the half, ran out of steam late but didn't tire that badly

SOUTHWIND TERROR -

Left from post 10 and was three wide throughout the first quarter, settled in second over at that point, lost cover approaching the half, surged to the lead in mid-stretch while completely under his own power but got rough-gaited and broke stride

LET'S DRINK ON IT -

3yo left and tucked 4th on turn one, brushed to the lead at the half and drew off sharply to handily defeat classy older horse, Silent Swing

DAVID'S DREAM -

Left from post 9 but couldn't clear and forced a fast early pace, was passed at the 5/8's and raced second over on the final turn, tired after an impossible trip

MARTINI HANOVER -

Left hard and cleared to the lead in :26 2/5, set a fast pace under constant pressure and didn't tire that badly in a quick mile

MIGHTY YOUNG JOE -

8th at the half behind a slow developing cover flow, moved wide at the three quarters and wider into the stretch, finished with his usual zeal, home in :25 4/5

KEYSTONE WANDA -

Was first over a long way, wore down the pacesetter in the stretch but was out-kicked late by the 6-5 pocket rocket

KEYSTONE VELOCITY -

Had post 8, finished with good late pace in the stretch in his first race back off a layoff

MONEY TWITCH -

Third over form post 7, tipped wide for the drive and finished quickly
