Email

BALMORAL

6/15: 0w, no bias (not really a closer's track, leavers did well out of the pocket)

6/14: 3w, no bias

PARKLANE SPARKLE -

Left and worked his way to the lead, set the pace and was second best to the pocket horse over a track that did not produce a single wire to wire winner

NITROGEN FUSE*** -

Went first over a long way against a tough 3-5 shot, paced a :55 middle-half, held okay

BUBS DESIRE*** -

Left from post 9 and tucked 5th, was shuffled all the way back to 9th, finished fast for the show in :26 flat

GIMMEAZZZMOOCH -

Left strongly and forced tucks, set a fast pace under pressure, made a tiring break late but was holding gamely considering the pace prior to the break

TEA PARTY PATRIOT -

Was 10th at the half, followed weak cover and finished fast in :26 3/5

MAYWOOD

6/13: 5w, no bias

6/12: 3w, no bias

WILFULLYSCOOTENEVA -

Left from post 6 and was used hard to clear, set the pace and held okay

6/13: 4w, no bias

GRAN GABRIEL -

9th at the half, finished with good velocity for the show

ALLIGATOR FALLS -

Left from post 8 and got involved in a vicious speed duel, pushed the :53 3/5 half, was only 2 lengths behind at the three quarters, excusably tired

NEPTUNE BLUE CHIP -

Left in :25 4/5, set a torrid clip under hounding pressure and excusably tired

SHOOTER'S DREAM -

Had post 7, moved at the quarter, picked up dull cover, finished strongly for the place

PHILADELPHIA

6/15: 4w, no bias, leavers and first over horses won most of the races, so not really a closer's track but not a true speed bias, either

6/13: 7w, + speed

6/12: 3w, no bias

MISS ANNIE J -

Was parked the mile without cover from post 8 and held well for the show

MAGNUS DEO -

Had post 7, moved at the quarter and was uncovered a long way, held gamely

DON'T BLAME HER -

Left and tucked 5th, grinded first over pacing a :27 1/5 third quarter, held well

CRAZY ON YOU -

Had post 8, moved at the quarter, followed cover and finished quickly

FANCYFREESHARK -

Left from post 8 and tucked 3rd pacing a :26 1/5 first quarter, then paced a :27 3/5 third quarter first over pushing a fast pace against a stubborn front runner and held okay

POCONO

6/15: 4w, + speed, leavers dominated, 10 winners sat second in the pocket

6/14: 4w, no bias

RICK'S CROSSROADS -

Left from post 7 and was used hard to clear the lead past the quarter, set a quick pace and gave way grudgingly late

AHEAD OF THE CURVE -

Left and was three wide to the lead past the quarter while used assume control, set a quick pace and held okay for the show

P L FIGHTER -

Had post 8, blasted to the lead in :25 3/5, set a hot clip and held the show

THE MEADOWS

6/13: 2w, no bias

MEADOWLANDS

6/14: 8w, ++ speed, off track

6/13: 5w, no bias, off track

GARNET RIVER*** -

Saved ground, moved up along the pylons down the back but ended up getting shuffled back to 8th, moved out in traffic in the stretch, cleared late and finished willingly

CAPTAINTREACHEROUS -

Classy 4yo made his first start of the year, left and worked his way to the lead at the half, appeared vulnerable at the three quarters, as he often does, but sustained his speed to the wire gamely to prevail, as he usually does

SENOR GRANDE -

Had post 9 and was 4th over, rallied wide for the drive and finished well against the bias

COBALT MAN -

Had post 9 and was hustled from the gate but aborted the leave and took back while wide into the turn, followed cover third over and finished evenly; not an easy trip here; pacer has had a series of difficult spots recently and may be worth a price.
