Left from post 8, was parked to the quarter for the lead, drifted into the two path at the half, yielded, held okay after a tough trip over this tiring track

 

HAWTHORNE

1/23: 2w, + closers

1/22: 1w, ++ closers

1/21: 0w, ++ closers

MCKNIGHT -

Was 7th at the quarter, power-brushed to the lead at the half and drew off to an easy win

BELL VALLEY TIGER -

Was 9th at the three quarters and finished strongly for the place, last quarter in :26 4/5

FIVEKNUCKLESHUFFLE -

Followed weak cover and finished quickly in the stretch

MAJOR BLUE COAT -

Left well from post 7 and was parked to the quarter in :28 2/5, set the pace against the bias under second-half pressure and didn't tire badly

 

NORTHFIELD

1/23: 6w, no bias

 

DOVER DOWNS

1/22: 7w, + speed

ONERY SHARK -

Was parked the mile without cover from post 8, prompted the pace, took the lead in the stretch, was out-kicked but held gamely for the place

 

THE MEADOWS

1/22: 1w, + closers, off track, racing canceled after the 6th race

 

FREEHOLD

1/21: 4w, no bias

 

MEADOWLANDS

1/22: 5w, no bias, mild headwinds

AXIOS -

Trotter shipped in from Yonkers and seemed to like this track, left and worked his way to the lead past the quarter, set the pace and drew clear to a handy win
