REAL WINNER -

Power-brushed to the lead with a :26 3/5 second quarter, ran out of steam in the long stretch but is dangerous if able to rate and use that speed later in the race

STAR CHASER*** -

Left from post 7 and tucked 4th, power-brushed to the lead at the half while pacing a quick middle-half and finished a game second

AWESOME ABE -

Had post 9, got moving at the quarter, picked up weak cover, moved three wide on the final turn and finished gamely for the show

 

MAYWOOD

 

2/27: 5w, + speed

2/26: 4w, no bias

CANDY N APPLES -

Had post 7, was third over, rallied three wide around the final turn and finished strongly

CANTHOLDMEBACKMACK -

Was sitting 9th, followed cover 4th over and finished sharply for the place

CENALTAFIRECRACKER -

Had post 9, followed cover third over and finished sharply for the show

TWICE THE RUCKUS -

Had post 8 and was 4th over behind very poor cover, rallied three wide at the three quarters and finished well for the show

DRUNKEN TERROR -

Quarter-moved and was first over a long way against the tough 2/5 favorite, held the show gamely

FIRE IN THE BELLY -

Power-brushed to the lead at the half, paced a quick middle-half and finished a game second behind the pocket rocket 3/5 favorite

GUNS AN ROSES -

Was 8th at the quarter, moved out at the half, was unable to pick up decent cover, ducked back in, angled clear in the stretch and finished sharply for the show

MILLENIUM WHEEL -

Had post 7, followed cover 4th over, followed cover wide around the final turn and finished sharply for the place

 

NORTHFIELD

 

2/26: 8w, + speed

PINKPOLOSOCKS -

Left and was three wide to the quarter while parked, raced uncovered in a speed duel with the tough 3/5 winner and held gamely for the place

 

THE MEADOWS

SUMMER SNOW -

Rushed up first over, challenged heartily, wore down the favorite to take the lead turning for home but was out-kicked by the mare who was second over while a game second

BULLET BOB -

Left alertly, yielded, was shuffled, finished willingly for the place

CLASSIC ART -

Left from post 10 outside of post 8 and 9 leavers, followed cover, lost cover past the quarter, tried hard to brush to the lead but was rebuffed, weakened in the stretch but finished a respectable 5th after the tough trip

IDEAL MAGIC -

Left from post 8 and was used hard to the lead past the quarter, set a hot pace and didn't tire that badly

HUNCHIE -

Had post 10, moved out off the first turn, got stuck behind a late developing flow and was eventually 5th over, stormed wide at the three quarters and finished sharply

NASSAU COUNTY -

Was 9th at the three quarters while following cover, swung wide at the three quarters and very wide for the drive, finished quickly for the place from a tough spot

BETTOREVER -

Was 4th over in the Sonsam Final, swung wide turning for home and finished strongly

SASSY HANOVER -

4th over from post 9, went three wide at the three quarters and finished well pacing his last quarter in :26 4/5

 

MONTICELLO

 

2/26: 6w, + speed, off track

 

YONKERS

 

2/28: 3w, no bias

2/27: 7w, + speed

BITTERSWEET DREAMS -

Had post 7, followed cover, lost cover at the three quarters, ducked in, finished gamely

FLYING MOCHA -

Left hard and parked a horse to a :27 2/5 first quarter, yielded, was shuffled back to 7th, angled out on the final turn and finished willingly

R GAUWITZ HANOVER -

Left from post 7 and was used hard to clear in :27 2/5, set the pace and weakened late but didn't tire badly in another good effort

GRANTOR HANOVER*** -

Left from post 7 and tucked 4th at the quarter, pulled first over at the half, challenged through a tough :27 3/5 third quarter and held gamely for the show

CAROLSIDEAL -

Left a bit from post 8 but decided to take back to last on the first turn, followed cover third over from the half, roared three wide late-final turn, finished powerfully for the win

MICKEY HANOVER*** -

Had post 6, went third over but was stymied by poor cover, swung wide late final turn and finished strongly

LAWGIVER HANOVER -

Had post 7, angled out in the stretch and cleared late with pace; may be ready now

THE LADIES MAN -

Had post 8, followed cover, swung wide for the drive and finished quickly
