Had post 8 behind a slow pace, picked up terrible cover, was three wide a long way and finished strongly from a tough spot to get the show

Gunned to the lead in :26 45, yielded, brushed back to the lead at the half, took on pressure from the winner going 1:22 2/5 to the three quarters, excusably weakened

SHADY CAROLINE -

2yo filly power-brushed to the lead with a :27 1/5 second quarter brush, was out-kicked late but held well for the place

STAR RECRUIT -

Was parked the mile without cover from post 7, prompted the pace, held well for show

CASH CAB*** -

Left from post 8 and was used hard to clear past a :26 2/5 opener, set a fast pace, shook off a rival at the half and another at the three quarters, finally weakened late in a game try

EAGLE PASS*** -

Left from post 7 directly outside of the sharp post 6 winner, pressed a :26 1/5 first quarter, remained parked without cover in fast-paced race, tough trip

ART'S ON FIRE*** -

Was 6th at the half third-over behind weak cover, rallied three wide through the final quarter and finished gamely for the place, last quarter in :27 4/5

R GAUWITZ HANOVER -

Was reclaimed again, left from post 6, set a lively pace and drew off impressively

GETITOFFYOURCHEST -

Gunned to the lead in :25 1/5, set a vicious pace to the three quarters in 1:19 4/5 and excusably tired while finishing in a respectable :28 2/5

Went first over against the sharp 4/5 winner, paced a :55 middle-half and held well for the place

COLOR'S A VIRGIN -

Was 11th following cover in the mile and an eighth Lady Liberty, finished fast

STATE TREASURER -

Classy 6yo has had several big moments in his career and added to his legacy with this huge performance, floated out leaving, declined a tuck and followed cover, lost cover approaching the half, brushed to the lead at the 5/8's, powered to the three quarters in 1:19 4/5 and won clear in 1:47, a world record for older pacing horses

FOILED AGAIN -

Still remarkably solid at 11 years of age, left from post 9, took the lead past a :26 first quarter, went :53 to the half, was passed by State Treasurer, held well for the show

 

MONTICELLO

8/6: 8w, ++ speed

WHERE IT'S AT -

Had post 8, followed cover at the three quarters, moved three wide on the final turn and finished gamely for the show from a tough spot

SAILIN METRO -

Had post 8, followed cover 4th over, finished strongly to get up while pacing his last half in :54 1/5

CHAD -

Trotter left from post 7 and was parked the mile without cover pressing the pace, weakened but held gamely considering losing by only two lengths
