In conjunction with Creative Media Productions, Sirius XM radio will air more than 20 hours of live coverage of major harness races this year, including many of the sport’s biggest events like the Hambletonian, Little Brown Jug and Breeders Crown. "Tonight at the Races” will kick off June 2 with live coverage of the Art Rooney Pace from Yonkers and will undergo a necessary name change to “Today at the Races” for the Hambletonian and Little Brown Jug, which are contested during the daylight hours. The race broadcasts will air on Sirius Ch. 93 and XM Ch. 209. Dave Johnson and Bill Finley will host the shows and owner-trainer Peter Kleinhans will be the featured analyst. The series was made possible due to the generosity of five sponsors—the United States Trotting Association, Yonkers Raceway, the Hambletonian Society, the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association and the Jeff Gural-owned tracks, Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs and the Meadowlands. “We’re pleased to expand our harness racing coverage this year,” said the show’s producer, Lucas Marquardt. “We’ve done a number of races in recent years but have never had a schedule like this. With few exceptions, we will be covering every major harness event in North America this summer, plus the Little Brown Jug and the Breeders Crown in the fall.” Below are the dates and featured races that will air this year on Sirius XM:   DATE TIME FEATURE RACES 6-2 9:30 to 11 Art Rooney, Lismore 6-10 3:30 to 5 Bettor’s Delight, Artiscape 6-16 9:30 to 11 North America Cup, Fan Hanover, Elegantimage 6-30 9:30 to 11 Ben Franklin Final, May Hempt, James Lynch 7-7 9:30 to 11 Yonkers Trot, Hudson Filly Trot 7-14 9:30 to 11 Meadowlands Pace, Stanley Dancer Trot 7-28 9:30 to 11 Hambletonian Eliminations 8-4 TBD Hambletonian 8-12 3:30 to 5 Empire Breeders Classic Final 8-18 9:30 to 11 William Haughton Memorial 8-19 TBD Battle of Brandywine, Colonial Trot, Valley Forge 9-3 3:30 to 5 Cane Pace, Shady Daisy 9-20 TBD Little Brown Jug 10-27 8 to 11 Breeders Crown (edited press release)
