PARK LANE SUE*** -
Had post 10 and was far back behind a modest pace, finished fast for the place

MONTICELLO
2/13: 6w, + speed
2/12: 4w, no bias, off track
2/11: 7w, somewhat speed favoring, odd day, 7 wire to wire winners but three 7 horses won from off the pace, fog, sloppy track

FARWELL SKY -
Had post 7, followed cover third over, circled wide around the final turn and finished strongly for the win
THOMAS JOHN N -

2/12: 6w, + speed
2/11: 4w, no bias
OPHIUCHUS N -
Left from post 8 and was parked hard past a fast half to get the lead, yielded and gave way but the trip was too tough for a $7,500 claimer; can improve off that

A LITTLE CRAZY*** -
Left from post 8 and was parked the mile without cover pushing a quick pace against the biased-aided 4-5 favorite and held well until excusably tiring in the stretch
RARE COMMODITY -
Left but was cooked trying to get the lead to a :27 opener, remained parked chasing a buzzsaw through hot fractions and excusably tired

PONTIAC LUCK*** -
Left well and yielded, regained, set a lively pace and drew off impressively
MANOFLEISURESUIT*** -
Made first start for the Allard barn and went a monstrous trip from post 8, used hard to clear, set a hot pace and drew off commandingly leaving the 2-5 favorite in the dust
PERFECT TERROR*** -
5-2 favorite in a wide open race, was used hard parked out most of the mile forcing a hot pace and only lost by 5 lengths
Best Bets
A super runner-up comeback by TRIBAL CHATTER stamps the maiden filly as the most probable winner on the card. Returning from a 10-month layoff, she finished nearly nine lengths clear of third in a highly rated maiden-40. Now meets an apparently modest cast of state-bred special-weights, and switches to turf. No problem. She was sired by all-surface stallion Tribal Rule; her dam produced California Cup Mile (turf) winner Swift Winds. Blinkers on, speed for a pressing trip, pick-six single first leg of the sequence.
