WOODBINE HARNESS

Monday, May 19

VERDI (NW1) Sat pocket and took just enough time to clear to finish second best in last. Beaten favorite should get it done in next.

DOCS HOSS (CLM8000) Tucked at the start, pulled to the third panel, went to the leader and rolled by easily.

HUNCH MAN (NW2) Finished wide and fast but had much too far to come in last outing.

POCONO DOWNS

Tuesday, May 20

ARCHETTO HANOVER (NW2) Thanks to a quick pace up front, this beaten favorite had much too far to come in last despite a determined all out game rally.

YAGOT CLASS (NW4) This hard used battler was asked at least three times along the way. After an early tuck, he pulled, challenged the pacesetter all out, appeared to be beaten in the lane but was asked again and again continuing to give his best shot to the wire but was second best.

SHAWNEE DANCER (NW7300M) Got caught wide a long way. Tipped just passing the half and was stuck out there all the way home in game, never-say-die effort.

SMOOTHER RIDE (NW15500) Had a good late kick but the odds on favorite was not going to be caught. Should be along in time versus most this level.
