Driver Franck Nivard celebrates as he crosses the wire with Bold Eagle.

Bold Eagle came into the 1,000,000 Euro Prix d’Amerique on Sunday afternoon at Vincennes Racetrack in France as the heavy favorite and hottest topic. Despite a somewhat difficult journey, the son of two-time winner Ready Cash eventually took charge to dominate his rivals.

Bold Eagle followed second in the outer flow early as Timoko was quick to the front. Driver Franck Nivard then sent his charge towards the leader and eventually wrestled command from Timoko about halfway through the 2700 meter race.

Once on the lead, Bold Eagle would fend off multiple challenges and truly had no equal in the stretch as Timoko chased bravely to the wire for second.

Oasis Bi was third ahead of Akim Cape Verde and Moses Rob.

The final time was a stakes record 1:11 4/10

Bold Eagle is trained by Sebastien Guarto for owner Ecurie Pierre Pilarski. The 5-year-old now has 21 lifetime wins in 24 starts.
