On Wednesday, Blue Chip Farms released its 2017 stud fees. Heading up the ten stallions currently standing or managed by Blue Chip Farms is the legendary international sire of sires, Bettor’s Delight. The leading money-winning stallion of all-time with worldwide progeny earnings of over $250mm, Bettor’s Delight will stand for $15,000 CAD in 2017 up from $12,000. “He’s the mailman. He delivers every day,” said Syndicate Manager Tom Grossman. Roll With Joe and Shadow Play Canada will also see a rise in their stud fees. “Joe” will move to $7,500 after a strong year on the track and in the sales ring, including a 10 times stud fee sales average in Harrisburg. Roll With Joe’s on-track performance was led by Racing Hill ($1.5mm - ’16), winner of both the Max Hempt and Breeders Crown 3YO Pace. Shadow Play’s fee will move to $4,500 CAD following a remarkable 17 times stud fee average in Harrisburg and a solid performance on track by his progeny in 2016, led by Breeders Crown winner Lady Shadow. 2017 Blue Chip Farm Stallion Stud Fees: Standing in New York: American Ideal - $10,000 Art Major - $10,000 Credit Winner - $10,000 Chapter Seven - $7,500 Roll With Joe - $7,500 Crazed - to be announced Standing in Canada: Bettor’s Delight - $15,000 CAD Shadow Play - $4,500 CAD Sunshine Beach - $5,000 CAD Standing in Indiana: Here Comes Herbie - $7,500 -edited press release (Blue Chip Farms)
